Leif and Jasper: BFF

Jasper Filby Williams, good friend and blog-buddy, had his baptism today and Team Pearson was in attendance at the subsequent brunch.

Finn refused to be photographed (celebrity status and all...) but we got some good shots of Jasper and Leif "playing" together.

Finn at Gooseberry Falls

Finn and Mickey went to Gooseberry Falls while Leif and I were camping with a big group of wonderful women and kids. Below are a few photos from the trip.

Weekend Fun!

This weekend Mickey was at a bachelor party in Wisconsin, so the boys and I went to Grand Rapids. We got to see our great friend, and blog loyalist, Alissa who was in town on her way moving from Prague to Dublin. Go Alissa! It was great to see you! The boys had a blast playing at the lake, going to the fair, etc.

The weekend

Well, this was a perfect Duluth weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We went to the beach, swam in the kiddie pool, took several walks (specifically to see the construction equipment by the park we like to visit), and played outside. It was awesome!

Leif vs. the stairs

Leif crawled up the stairs on his first try this morning. All he wants to do is stand these days. He is not interested in sitting anymore. Here he is on his way up for the hundredth time today:

Cuties

In the last couple of weeks Leif has been proficiently pulling to standing. He can also cruise slowly (for you non-parents, cruising is walking while hanging onto furniture). He stood unassisted for a second today before falling. Our prediction: he'll be walking by 11 months.

We're baaack!

We are back from vacation. We had a fantastic time, but are happy to be back in our house. They boys were great travelers, but I think they are happy to have their toys and beds back. Below are some more photos from the trip.

Yesterday we went to an insect museum. Finn met Rosie, the tarantula in the photo below. He did not want to hold her, but enjoyed looking at her.

The mountain streams were so, so cold (yes, colder than Lake Superior). My feet were numb after 30 seconds, but the boys could not get enough. Below are a couple of photos of Uncle Sam playing in the stream with Leif and Finn.






























One of the only things missing in Duluth is a sushi restaurant. Below is Finn enjoying sushi in Boulder. He enjoyed it (really). He only tried vegetarian stuff.
