Update!
Tummy time!
Odin is growing awfully fast. Loyal blog readers will recognize a similar photo taken in December.

Baby cousins
Update time! Keely and Odin went to the cities earlier this week to meet cousin Nora. We're putting off the trip for Finn and Leif for another couple of weeks to allow Sam & Nicole to bask in the glory of first-time parenthood before raining down the chaos of their rambunctious nephews. Here are some photos from the trip down.
Kinda a repost here, but here are more photos of Odin & Nora together during naps on the couch. The size difference between a newborn and a nine-week old is amazing.
Brianna Dekich was pretty psyched to hold Odin, despite his protests.
The cuteness!

Monkeys and Hawkeyes
Welcome cousin Nora!
Aunt Nicole & Uncle Sam welcomed their daughter Nora (our boys' first cousin) yesterday morning. They are allegedly going to start a blog in the near future, so expect a lot of cross-posting. Congrats Team Johnson!

Finn's Photos
As we mentioned before, Finn got a camera for christmas, which he's very excited about. Unfortunately, he's found the delete feature to be more interesting than the photo aspect, so he's been erasing everything recently. Here are some choice shots from christmas day.

Also, Finn has been very excited about ice skating so far this winter. Here's a shot of him with the trainer. He's an eager learner!

Boxing Day catch-up!
It's a huge post to celebrate Boxing Day!
Odin is filling out clothes Finn was tiny in at the same age. He's a big one:
Finn is finally big enough to fit his skates, and here he is with me making attempt #1 of the winter. He had fun, but was jealous of the more experienced skaters.
Meanwhile, Leif does what he most enjoys while outside: exploring quiet spaces with high objects in which he can hide.
And Odin snuggles with mommy.
We went caroling with some friends from the neighborhood, which the boys thought was great.
They particularly enjoyed the hot cocoa afterwards.
We spent the first part of last week in Okoboji for christmas. Promptly after arriving, the boys discovered that Grandpa Perry's harmonicas were awesome instruments.
The boys had a fantastic time, as always, and were particularly happy to spend some time with Auntie Kimberly & Uncle Ian.
Finn also got to help Grandma Teresa prepare for the Christmas dinner, stirring and mixing the mashed potatoes.
Preparations for christmas eve were exciting as well. Here are the boys with the goodies left out for Santa and his reindeer, as well as some notes the boys wrote.
The boys then listened to books with Great-grandma Bev, and the Aunties.
Finn was pretty thrilled with one of his gifts; a children's digital camera. Stay tuned for an all-Finn photo post in the near future.
You may have heard that the midwest got throttled by a huge, treacherous winter storm. In an effort to travel safely in what was expected to be a relatively clear window of weather, we skipped town in 'boji a couple days early and made it halfway north to Maple Grove. There we stayed with Uncle Sam & Aunt Nicole for an impromptu Johnson family christmas.
The snow was fantastic in the backyard, so the Johnsons built a snow dinosaur with Finn and Leif, complete with a tail that doubled as a slide.
Festive, loving brothers.
