Fall Fun

It was a beautiful fall day today (don't let the stocking hats fool you - Finn really wanted to wear his and also wanted Leif to wear one, but they weren't really necessary). We spent the majority of the day playing outside. Finn is a big helper lately - raking, stacking wood, transporting leaves, as evidenced in a few of the photos below.

Leif likes to walk behind the fire truck as Finn rides on it. It's very cute. They think it is so funny:












Fall has hit Duluth:












No babies in this photo because mom and dad had their first night out sans Leif at the Williams/Keller wedding. Leif was put to bed by grandma, grandpa, uncle sam and aunt nicole. It was the first time he was put to sleep by a non-parent and we are happy to report that he was a-ok.

The weekend away

While I was home painting and building, the boys & Keely vacated the house to stay out from underfoot. The results: a new woodshed, a golden dining room, and tired boys.

Finn, as always, enjoyed the pontoon boat ride.


A very tired Leif catches his otherwise skipped nap on a hike in the woods.


Finn loved playing in the tent, both at night and in the day.

Playground Extravaganza

Here are the boys playing at a park near our home. It has quickly become a favorite of both of them, especially now that Finn is adept at climbing and Leif is mobile. Enjoy!

Deja Vu, sort of

About a year ago we took some photos of Finn at Leif Erickson Park in Duluth. Today we were back there and took some photos of both boys. We have them both in tie dyed shirts, just like one year ago (we're good like that). Check out the photos from last year and see how much Finn has grown. It's amazingly crazy.

Apparently Sam, Fetch, Finn & Evan played in this bedroom for close to an hour. Clearly, fun was had.




Finn definitely enjoyed the bunk beds at Grandparents Pearson's hotel.



Also high on his list was this sweet waterslide at the hotel's water park.

Leif and Finn also had lots of fun playing in baskets full of (clean) laundry.

Back from the weekend!

While I was away at Uncle James' bachelor party, Keely and the boys went to Maple Grove to visit Aunt Nicole & Uncle Sam. Grandpa Perry, Grandma Teresa, and Grandma Nancy were also in town and everybody cooked out and played with the boys. Here are some of the pics Keely took, although Grandma Nancy promises to contribute some of her many photos in the near future.

Leif also got to spend some time with Brianna Dekich, and playtime was obviously fun.


Following a tiring weekend, both Finn & Leif decided to skip their naps on the trip home, so in an effort to keep them entertained and ourselves socialized, we went to a party at Max's house. Lots of our friends were there and we had fun cooking out in the woods and running around on the trails.
