Update

As you probably all know by now, Mickey ran Grandma's last weekend, and like every other runner had a tough time in the heat. He had to go to the ER on Saturday night to get IV fluids for his dehydration. He is finally feeling better. Here is one photo from mile 22, where we were watching the race. We are all very proud of him for finishing his third marathon.

Continuing with the theme from Grandma's, the weather here was really, really hot this past week. We took full advantage and spent time splashing in the pool and on the slip 'n slide. Below are some photos from our adventures.

Meet Pearson brother #3!

We took the plunge and found out at Keely's 20-week ultrasound that our forthcoming baby is a boy! Here's the ultrasound scan.

Kaboom! An explosion of photos!

Busy times around the Pearson household recently. Here's a brief recap:

Finn selected his pajamas on a particularly cold June night. Like a true Duluthian, he's decided to layer up.

This weekend we headed south to Northfield, MN for Auntie Erika's graduation from Carleton College. Foregoing the hotel route, we decided to put our new tent to the test and camped out at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park. We had an awesome time and the boys found the whole experience very exciting.

Saturday was Erika's graduation, and the boys, despite running on several fewer hours sleep than usual, had a great time running around the campus and playing in the warm weather.

Congratulations Erika!

Cast off that which binds you!

Yes, Leif can travel freely once more. Yesterday he got his cast off and we're all breathing sighs of relief.

We also made a big room switcheroo this weekend and the boys are now sharing a room. We're freeing up the space so Leif and Finn have plenty of time to transition before baby #3.

Watching wood chippers

Grandma Nancy visited this week and, like usual, took a million photos. She just send us a couple of really cute ones. The top two are of the boys watching a wood chipper a couple of houses down from us. Who knew it could be that exciting? They spend much of the day watching it. The bottom photo is from Memorial Weekend on Pokegama Lake.

With a third on the way, it's an upgrade day!

Hey all,

The influence of baby number three on our family has already begun. This weekend we did some size upgrades of our family gear.

Number one: The tent. We went from a 4 person to a six person. The boys love it, as Finn demonstrates here:

Number two: Goodbye, Subaru Outback. Hello, Toyota Sienna. I'm thinking of getting a vanity plate that reads ATHMDAD.

In non-upgrade news, the kids and Keely went to a playdate this morning at Tenzin & Rilo's house. Much fun was had and many scones were eaten, by the reports I heard.

Happy long weekend!

Hey there blog-fans,

We had a fantastic weekend! On Saturday, we attended Maarit Mattson's welcoming ceremony in Aurora. The weather was nice and the boys had a great time playing with Maarit's cousins and friends.

After the ceremony, we made our way to Grand Rapids for the rest of the long weekend. While there, the boys got their first canoe ride of the season, which both of them really enjoyed. We also spent lots of time playing down by the lake, throwing rocks, fishing, and playing in the sand.

Sunday at the beach

Today was an absolutely beautiful Sunday. Enjoy the photos from our trip to Brighton Beach.
