Two postings in 1 day!

Blogger is working better now, so we can post more pictures. Finn "helped" carve his first pumpkin this evening. He had fun, but was only interested in cleaning out the pumpkin, not the actual carving. Below are some photos of the event and after. He's been into making some funny faces, a few of which are captured below.

No new baby yet, but we will be sure to let everyone know. Thanks to everyone who has called this past week to wish us well! Look for updates soon!

Finn & Fitger's Fall Festival - Fun!

Pardon the above alliteration; I couldn't resist.

Here's a couple of shots from yesterday's outing to Fitger's Fall Festival here in Duluth. For some reason, Finn gets pretty serious when in his spider costume, as we found here and last weekend at the Zoo Boo. We're happy to be getting extra mileage out of this cute costume, though. (More pictures are coming, but Blogger is being stubborn. Sorry.)

In baby #2 news, the due date (October 25th) is still approaching and we're all ready for the birth.

Grandma & Finn at the aquarium

Finn, Grandma Teresa, and I went to the Great Lakes Aquarium today and had lots of fun running up and down, gawking at all the fish and other creatures. We saw our friend Sarah, who told us about snakes, but Finn could only listen for a couple of seconds before needing to run around some more. Below are some fun shots:

Finn!

Here are some recent photos for y'all:

Here's Finn with his Auntie Erika, who was very excited to see him and read some books this weekend. Finn loved it as well.

Walks are a staple in our lives, and here's Finn with Grandma Nancy, Auntie Nicole, and mommy, enjoying an autumn stroll.

Finn is also very into his belly button (and those of others) so he's quite proud to show his off.

Beautiful Colors in Duluth!

This weekend Mickey, Finn, Gracie, and I took some time to enjoy the fall colors. The weather was gorgeous! Below are a few photos from our weekend.

More Finn!

In Finn news - he pooped in his potty for the first time today! He also loves to touch my belly and say "baby." We aren't sure if he knows there is a baby in there, or if we've told him so many times that he is just repeating what we've been telling him. Below are a few pictures we took over the weekend.

Here's Finn playing with Mary, our neighbor-friend. He calls her "May-may."

Mickey made some pumpkin soup on Friday that Finn devoured. He's pretty good at feeding himself, but still make a mess sometimes, reminiscent of "young Finn." We took his bib and shirt off after the first bowl because his bib was not stopping all the soup he was spilling.

Super Post!

Below are some photos of Finn taken in the last week. He had his first professional haircut on Wednesday. We think he looks pretty suave. He runs everywhere these days - no more walking for him.

The pictures below are from Labor Day, pre-haircut. We had a picnic at Leif Erikson Park and Finn ran all over in his diaper and cool new shoes.

Below Finn and his best pal Bjorn are enjoying crackers at Leif Erikson Park.

One day before work we took Finn to Park Point to get some photos of him in his diaper for an online contest that Fuzzi Bunz (our cloth diaper of choice) is holding. Below are a couple of the photos we got. Note the new haircut.

Today we took Finn to the Bayfront for a renewable energy/sustainable farming expo. There were tons of kids flying the free kites that they were giving away. Finn was very interested in watching, but was kind of overwhelmed with all the yelling and swooping kites. He also took a moment to stop and "smell" the flowers.

Here are a couple of photos taken in our backyard. Finn now has a sandbox, and Gracie has a fence, both of which you can see below.

This is Finn trying to tip over his water table, one of his new favorite activities.

Lastly, here is Finn doing downward facing dog.

Pearson Women visit D-town

Following the bears by no more than 30 minutes were Auntie Kimberly, Grandma Teresa, and Great-grandma Bev.

On Thursday we all went to Gooseberry Falls, north of Two Harbors, for some light hiking and watercolor painting. It's always pretty there and Finn had a great time playing with Grandma and Kimberly on the rocks.

Roar by the Shore

Sometimes it's hard to express how awesome Duluth is. Then we get some special visitors to help out.

Last week, three black bears walked right through our alley and backyard. The mama and two cubs were totally mellow and just checking out their surroundings. Keely spotted them first through the living room window. Finn, upon seeing them, said, "ROAR!" (He's darn smart.)

Here's the photos:

Finn update

Finn has been having lots of fun this summer. He really, really enjoys bike rides lately. He will walk out to the garage, try to put the bike helmet on his head, and climb into the trailer.

We have him sit on his potty every night, and he has used it a couple of times.

He enjoys smelling flowers (which is hard to capture on film, but very cute, trust us).

He is making the transition from two naps to one nap a day, which makes for "tired Finn" some days.

Yesterday was the Dragonboat Festival in Superior (annual fundraiser). Barr (Keely's employer) had a team that Mickey raced on. Finn was there to support the team, act like a clown (see picture 1) and stare down anyone who got in his way (see picture 2).
