A happy blue-state baby

Hooray! Pawlenty and Bachmann's victories notwithstanding, it is a very good day to be blue! Look how happy Finn is, sporting a blue shirt and a stylish "I Voted" sticker. Regardless of your political stripe, I hope you got out and voted yesterday. If you didn't, you make Finn sad.

Finn's First Rap Video

Here are a couple of still shots from the rap video Finn was recording from our couch the other day. Ok, he wasn't really recording a rap video, but his outfit (and attitude) looks like what he would wear if he were a rap artist.

Halloween day with costume

Here are several photos of Finn in his costume. You will most likely recognize blog regular Benjamin, appearing in this post as the pumpkin. We had a bee costume for Finn, but I tried it on him yesterday and it didn't fit (good planning on our part - it looked like it fit, so we assumed it did). So, at the last minute I picked up this costume. I think it's cuter than the bee.

We stopped by to see Uncle Sam at work. Finn obviously enjoyed it.

Halloween Day (pre-costume)

I know everyone wants to see Finn in his adorable costume, but I need to do some red-eye reduction and can't figure out how post computer crash, so I have to wait for Mickey. In the meantime, enjoy these two pictures of Finn pre-costume, wearing a festive sweatshirt.

Fall Fun

This afternoon we took Finn outside to play in the leaves. He absolutely loved it. Below are a few pictures we think are blog worthy.

I can sit!

Finn has started sitting on his own very well these last few days. The top picture shows how cute and happy he is, and the bottom picture is proof that he is sitting on his own, without our help. The bottom picture also illustrates his tremendous girth (21 lbs, 2 oz at 6 months!!!!) Enjoy.

Phinn and Phriends

We had an action-packed weekend, complete with playdates and emergency-surgery-requiring dog injuries, but we still managed to keep the camera handy to capture Finn at his most adorable.

Here he is, all geared up for a walk in our wintery weather. Note the Gustavus hat. Very awesome.

Nicole & Adam's Wedding

Here's a picture of Finn with Nicole and Adam at their wedding. I looked all over for baby sport coats for Finn to dress up in for the big day, but couldn't find any. However, now that Christmas is around the corner, baby boy dress up clothes are everywhere. He still looked cute, but I wanted him to wear a little sport coat.

I love carrots

This weekend I got these cute pictures of Finn "eating" carrots. He had them all over and it was very cute. He sat in a restaurant highchair for the first time last night. It was great! He loved sitting with us at the table and we loved eating out without holding him on our laps.

The Marathon

Also this weekend was Finn's first marathon. Mickey did very well and we are all proud of him. Below is Finn watching at mile 8 with Grandma Johnson. After that he fell asleep and stayed asleep until the end of the race.

Welcoming Ceremony

This past weekend we had a welcoming ceremony for Finn. It was a beautiful day full of fun times. Finn is lucky to have so many caring people in his life.
